The Gibson Flying V is an electric guitar recognized for its “V”-shaped body design. Gibson first manufactured prototypes of the guitar in 1957. Gibson first released the Flying V in 1958 along with the ES-335, Explorer and Moderne. The ES-335 was an instant success, but the Flying V would receive the recognition it deserved nearly a decade later, which prompted the reissue.

The new Fender Blacktop felt pretty good in my hand. The neck resembles the 60’s neck which is a bit thinner and easier to play. I wouldn’t say it’s a fast neck, but it’s definitely not slow either. The alder body has a great tone to it, nice and fat. The larger scale of the neck is nice, giving more room in between each of the 22 frets.

My first impression of the Page Hamilton ESP, I thought it was and old 80’s Guitar put through some serious touring. With its tattered look and worn paint I had to see how it played….
