Mickey Richardson is the founder of SMG, moderator, blog editor, podcast engineer, aspiring guitarist, etc. Mick is from Southern California, and a true music geek who REALLY digs guitars. Mick built sharemyguitar.com in order to learn more about guitars and share the knowledge with other like minded people. Nick Arrietta is a staff writer at SMG. Nick is a professional Music teacher from California and has been playing the Guitar for 24 years. Along with teaching music he is a touring guitarist, studio musician and songwriter. Most notable for his mind-blowing solos, Vintage Les Paul and Amp’s that go to “Eleven” he also has a spandex collection that is on loan to the Smithsonian, well maybe not on that last bit.
Robert Johnston is an artist, composer, guitarist, instructor, and author. As an artist, his personal work can be described as a fusion of rock, blues, jazz, and even classical elements. Scott “SVH” Von Heldt is a staff writer for SMG. SVH is currently the lead guitarist for Brian “Head” Welch (ex-Korn). Scott has worked with members of White Zombie, Cirque Du Soliel and many others. In late 2008 he released the first book of his Mystic Art of Self-Discovery series entitled Mind Over Metal: The Musician’s Guide to Mental Mastery. With SVH’s Zen approach to conquering guitar and other obstacles that come his way, it’s a great read and we recommend that you check it out!
David Irelan is a guitarist, composer, producer, and teacher. He is founder of The Los Angeles School of Guitar – a program that offers college-preparatory music courses.
He plays lead guitar in LA indie-rock outfit Wires in the Walls and has various side projects. He holds a degree in jazz guitar but is interested in all types of music, most recently indie music and classic country. He’s always searching for new sounds and forms of expression.
