  • Nick Arrietta Has anybody tried the Ernie Ball Titanium or Cobalt strings? Just had my Fender Strat setup today by my friend and master tech and saw these strings on the shelf so i picked a pack up. Il throw them on in a few days when i kill the strings i just put on. If anybody needs a guitar set up and is in the Montrose CA area Grayson's Tunetown has one of the best techs ever. I can give you his info just shoot me a message or tweet me. Cheers..

  • Robert Mathews I really don't worry so much about me or tend to pitch tantrums if I happen to ding my own stuff. Those things happen! It's the thoughtlessness of others that concerns and annoys me. I've gotten too old to beat on people who touch my stuff (Although earlier in my life  . .  ) and it's somewhat uncomfortable wearing a shoulder holster while I play!

  • Patrick Vega Hi all!   Do you know why all this social media stuff ain't really working for artists?   Cause it's based on either delusional  FANTASY  (A company you -as the artist- pay generates fake fans and wham! there you have: many many fantasy views and likes- anybody can get that done for them by a company...a dentist, an artist.....but what for? Exactly) or by  PERSUASION  (add me, like me).   But eitherway there's no real fans!   Few people really care beyond a "likes this" or an "add" BUT the artist spends hours in front of the computer begging for your attention- rather than making records which the artist has to pay for somehow!   THINK ABOUT THIS:   1.  Excessive Quantity of music (it's too much), no one can digest as much stuff as there is now. All the: "Check me out, Listen to my new single....Free music! Free downloads, Free free free!" Do you care?   2 . No because the Internet is mostly (and naturally) "ME-nternet". Unless it's about yourself OR someone already famous, it's really not that important AND YOU KNOW IT (not even girl/boyfriends read your tweets people and even if they do, how are you paying for your next record?)   3.  An "add" or "like" and especially a "comment" is very nice but it doesn't enable the artist to pay for the next recording. BUT buying their music is AND by buying the artists music, the artist will eventually be taken seriously! -> Then this internet and all that stuff is great, then- it works for everyone involved; but you really have to spend a little money on the people's art you like.   SO: BUY your music, as that is the only way of true support and nowadays you can directly SUPPORT the artist, thanks to digital distribution companies such as @Tunecore!   Get an iTunes gift card, make an account or buy the song(s) at Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody.....directly from the artist and pay by Paypal......whatever!    Just do it, and if you already are doing it, spread the word to those who aren't! THANK YOU   "Everyone wants music to be free but unfortunately creating it ain't!"  (Patrick Vega) ________________________________________________________________________________________ Now, since you scrolled down: Did you even read the above?

in the topic Where are you man? in the forum Give a shout out where you are from?!

I'm in Redding, California, way up north, at the tip top of the Sacramento Valley, close to Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen. Mountain views on three sides and the beautiful Sacramento River rolling through town. It's kind of a sleepy place culturally, but the peace and beauty help make up for it. The city itself gets more beautiful all the time. Two new bridges over the river were recently completed, and we have a great river trail system that goes for miles. And there are wonderful people here hiding out in the woodwork!

I was thinking of a free text area along the lines of "About Me and My Music"...something like that. :)

    Nice to be here!

As I was completing adding some profile info, I had the thought that there is no place--at least I could not find a place--to add our focus in guitar...or what we like to play...or any other details about our guitar playing we might like to share.

    What do you think?
